please don't hate the sub

ok, so it's rant time! One of the many things I do is substitute teach from time to time. I love kids and since I am actually a teacher I can follow lesson plans and help kids learn (no watching movies all day for this girl). Thanks to all the teachers out there that are polite, friendly and professional. To all those other teachers, and you know who you are, please don't hate the sub! I am in your class so you can have time off to do whatever you need, I love you students and respect your classroom. Having a bad experience with a different sub is not an excuse to treat me like crap, I have many teachers who request me only because of my dedication. There is no need to be rude, hostile and down right nasty to your subs. It is hard enough to be in an environment where the kids are already inclined to act up, don't make it worse or you will find yourself blacklisted from your local sub's lists (oh yeah, it happens) you don't have to like me, but you do have to be professional.....rant officially over.
